News: June ’10 – In the Studio. Currently, Roger is working on several recording projects with various artists and producers in the studio. Updates on this, and live shows, will be posted here. Mar ’10 – RF to share stage with WA! Roger & band will be supporting Wishbone Ash on Sat, Mar 27th at the Boulton Theatre in Bay Shore, NY. In addition to performing songs from his latest solo album “Worlds Within,” he will join his former band-mates on stage for some classics from the “Illuminations” album. Showtime 7:30 pm! Jan '10 - Sea of Tranquility Review of Worlds Within "While a large majority of instrumental guitar albums tend to either be one dimensional or self serving platforms for players to show off their chops with an excessive amount of masturbatory guitar solos, it's rather refreshing to come across a player such as Filgate who displays neither of these qualities. Oct ’09 - Roger Filgate & Band to Open for America Roger & band will be the support act for legendary ‘70s group America at the Ridgefield Playhouse in Ridgefield, CT. on Thurs, Oct 15th @ 8:00pm. Roger’s debut show is now scheduled for Fri, Sept 18th at Ives Concert Hall (White Hall Auditorium, 181 White St. - WestConn University) in Danbury, CT. The event starts @ 8:00pm and will feature Roger and his band performing “Worlds Within” live. Joining him on stage are band mates Peter Bennett on bass, Ed Lange on drums and Dan Pacuk on keyboards/rhythm guitar. Chubby Checker is scheduled to make a rare guest appearance to perform his single "Knock Down the Walls" live with Roger & band. Opening the evening is special guest singer/song writer Jerry Cherry from NYC.
